Ronnie in 3DW, for his fantastic participation in all lessons and rising to the challenge in Maths.

He was also a lovely, caring and considerate classmate when his

Year 3 School Council Elections

In a special assembly today for Year 3, Mrs Maude announced the names of the children who will represent their class as part of the School Council. Congratulations and well done to those who were successful and all of those who participated.

Homework – 18.9.20

Hello and welcome to our first homework blog. Every Thursday or Friday, your child will receive their homework, consisting of Maths, English, extra number facts work or times tables and spellings. These will be glued into their homework and spelling books. You will also find their TTRockstars details in the homework books. Their completed homework should be returned by the following Wednesday.

This week, instead of English we have set Science homework. Our topic is Food and Our Bodies and we have asked that the children keep a food diary over two days.

PE at Coundon… a few changes!

From September and in line with Government Guidance, we will be getting outside a lot more (in all sorts of weather conditions), this will include our PE lessons.

We will be asking the children to come into school on their PE days IN THEIR PE UNIFORM. (They will find out their PE days during the first week back). They will then stay in this for the day, so a change of clothes will not be needed in school. The main reason for this change is for safety reasons; it has been advised that we reduce the amount of belongings that are coming to and from each home and onto the school site.

For the older children, this change also comes about as there will be reduced space for them to change separately (boys and girls) due to them being in their class bubbles.

To make sure that the children are suitably dressed once the cooler weather sets in, we would like the children to have black jogging bottoms, a black hoody or sweatshirt and suitable outdoor footwear to wear alongside their usual white t-shirt and black shorts.
