Remote Learning

Our Year 2 generic home learning pack is now accessible on Microsoft Teams. If your chid is well but having to self isolate, due to awaiting a Covid-19 test or test results, you will find 2 days worth of Maths and English work to access. After this time, if your child is still having to stay off school, the Year 2 staff will upload work daily onto Teams. Don’t forget that you can also email the class teacher, using your child’s Microsoft Teams email address.

Times Tables Rock Stars

As part of Maths week England, Coundon will be hosting a Maths Day on Tuesday 10th November. Through out the week, Times Tables Rock Stars are running a competition, where schools compete to win prizes. All you have to do is play as much as you can. There will also be a small prize for each class member who spends the most time playing games.

Year 2 have taken home their homework packs but if you have misplaced any of it we have attached the pdf files for you to print at home. The maths and reading comprehension should be returned to school but the phonics can remain at home to practise.

Home learning

If your child has to self-isolate and therefore unable to attend school, they will be able to access their school work via Microsoft Teams. All children were sent home today with individual email addresses so that they can access their year group or class Teams. Please use this email to access the work, which is uploaded daily for any of our pupils off school, contact the class teacher and upload school work and photographs. Well done! to Ayla B in 2AS for receiving the head teacher’s award. Ayla did some exceptional English work and used the conjunction ‘because’ to join clauses in her sentences!

Well done! to Hargun B in 2AD for receiving the head teacher’s award. Hargun is new to our school but has settled in really well and shown that she is a conscientious pupil who does her best in all areas of learning.
