Description

In today’s lesson, the focus will be to describe a setting. Linking it in with our Creative topic, watch the videos below on Greece and record examples of descriptive language such as personification and metaphors.

Before you watch the videos, it may be a good idea to go through the following slides below which contains a range of grammar warm ups and then an introduction for today’s lesson, followed by how to present your work. Further resources can be found below the YouTube clips including ISPACE sentence openers and a figurative language poster.

Resources for English

Below, you will find a range of resources for today’s English lesson.

Science

In Science today, we would like you to continue with Monday’s lesson. On Monday, you recorded your results after carrying out a range of activities and measuring your heart rate. Today, we would like you to create a graph to go with your results and then to write up a Science investigation/explanation. This can be typed up in Word or presented as a PowerPoint (if you would like to).

It is up to you how you would like to present your graph. However, we have come across a website in which you can create your own graph. Have a go. Also included is a Science investigation template which contains a range of headings and questions to support your write up.
