The Year 4 team would like to say a massive thank you to all our children and their families during this difficult time. The effort you have all put in with home schooling is amazing and we are overwhelmed with your positivity and how well you are doing. Due to school closure we have been missing out on our usual weekly ‘Head Teacher Awards’ that acknowledge the children’s efforts. Therefore, whilst school is still closed to Year 4, we have decided to start our very own ‘Star of the Week’. We will publish the names of our weekly superstars here on the blog.
4MW – Rachel for her continuous hard work and for super work in Science in classifying animals.
4PP – Noah A for his super presentation and effort over the past few weeks.
4KP – Kamran for his selfless and kind act adopting endangered animals. He saved his Christmas and birthday money and adopted 3 animals – an oragutan, penguin and jaguar. This touched our hearts, not only that but Kamran is hoping to save more money to adopt a tiger, turtle and gorilla. Well done Kamran, this is so very throughtful.

Some sheets/resources are uploaded as separate documents. These can be printed but do not need to be, as all tasks can be completed in exercise books. Please also continue to access the websites given in the first post to supplement your child’s home learning and check the blog regularly for updates.

The Year 4 team are now back in school, training and getting everything ready for when certain year groups start back at school this week. Therefore, there will be no Teams on Monday. We will be up and running with it again on Tuesday 2nd June. Sorry for any inconvenience.
Below you will find everything for this week’s learning. For English, Maths and Guided Reading there is an activity to be completed each day. There is also work to be completed throughout the afternoons. We would like you to practise your spellings throughout the week (see below) and ask your grown up’s to test you on a Friday. Please continue to read at home and practise your times tables.

Well, Year 4 this week’s Times Tables Rockstar battle results are in. The winner is..
The Boy’s!!!!.
It was an epic battle with the most points achieved so far, 18,768 V 15, 109! A special mention to Riley for contributing an epic 17, 168 points to the the boys score and Sarah for a massive 11,852 points to the girls score. WOW!
The boy’s are now in the lead 3-1 to the girl’s. Come on girl’s you need to fight back and challenge the boys. You can do it!
