It was wonderful to see so many of you attending our Firework Display this week. It was a fantastic event which brought the school community together. Asher S was the lucky winner of our raffle, pressing the button to launch the fireworks.
How does it feel? Slimy, cold, soft, hard, spiky ……….

We have been sharing the story of the Owl Babies by Martin Waddell.
We have been using puppets to retell the story and created an Owl Babies tuff spot with lots of resources to recreate the story.
We also made owls in our creative area.

The children have been amazing these past two weeks and have settled in to Nursery really well. They have been exploring the environment, getting to know each other, sharing resources and taking turns.

Each week we will upload photographs and examples of our activities and learning on to the Nursery blog.
You can also find our weekly planning on the board outside Nursery and our termly planning is on the website under curriculum.

Welcome to a new academic year. Keep an eye on the blog this year as we share lots of your fantastic learning and experiences.
In Nursery we have been learning all about the season Summer. We have looked at the changes in weather, in the environment and compared our clothes with those we wear in Winter time.
We have also made the most of the lovely weather and had lots of fun exploring the sandpit and water wall outside.

For our topic on Mini beasts we went to our Forest School Area for a Mini Beast hunt.

We have been learning all about the animals that live with us in our houses….Our Pets.
We have learnt that we all have lots of different kinds of pets. We have been talking about how to care and look after them, what they eat and sharing our experiences of our own pets.
We have been lucky enough to have some Pets come and visit us in Nursery.

Rosie and Khloe brought in their Giant Snail to show us and we learnt all about the kinds of food it eats, where it lives and how to care for it.

Mrs Feeney came to show us her pet Tortoises Terrance and Sheldon.

And Oreo the school rabbit came to see us.
We were all very quiet and very gentle with the animals and have learnt that we must care for all living things.
