Well done to Aaliyah for your constant hard work and performance in lessons.
This week we are beginning to talk about Autumn and are starting to recognise the changes that take place. We will be learning facts about Autumn and will be reading the story ‘Leaf Man’ to look at the changes. We will also go on an Autumn walk to collect some Autumn foliage so we can make our own leaf man and other pictures. Please collect leaves, conkers, acorns etc when out on your walks at home and bring them into school to add to our collection.
Remember to bring a waterproof coat each day as we spend a good portion of the day outside. Can parents please remember to lateral flow their child if displaying any symptoms so we can try and stop the spread of the virus.
A huge thank you to those parents that have been contributing to our weekly 50p fund. We will be looking to purchase some consumable resources to enhance the provision and also to support the curriculum with our upcoming festivals and celebrations.
Please find attached Year 3’s homework due on the 6th October. There is a choice of 2 worksheets for Maths – either clouds or moons and stars.

Luke in 4AT has been trying really hard and has been getting more involved in Maths lessons. As a result, he has shown that he has a good understanding of recently covered maths concepts.
Well Done J-T! 1.10.2021
A super well done to J-T for receiving the 6GM Headteacher Award this week. He has shown superb confidence this week in English during a drama activity in which he undertook the role of a narrator. It took a lot of confidence and determination for J-T to speak in front of his peers. We are all so very proud of you 🙂
Many of our pupils took part in our local library’s Wild World Heroes Summer Reading Challenge during the summer break. Coundon library has informed us that of all the children that they had taking part in the challenge, Coundon Primary had by far the largest percentage of pupils taking part than any school which was amazing to hear! Well done Coundon!
