I hope you all had a fabulous day celebrating on VE Day! It was great to see what you have been up to via email. Below are some of the fabulous photos sent in to us, showing the amazing, creative activities you did on the day!

Simran created some colourful bunting to display in her home.

Libby-May made and delivered afternoon tea boxes to her grandparents.

Sara has made some bunting, a spitfire plane and has completed some work into the purpose of VE day.

Barnaby had a very busy day decorating his house, writing a poem, learning morse code and having a street party on his drive! He made this collage to show the difference between 1945’s celebrations and today’s!

Immi decorated her house with bunting, drawings and balloons!

THANK YOU!

The Year 2 Staff want to say a massive thank you to all our children and their families during this difficult time. The effort that you have all put in with home schooling is amazing and we have been overwhelmed with the amount of work you are all doing and the high standard of presentation. Due to school closure, we have been missing out on our usual weekly ‘Head Teacher Awards’ that acknowledge the children’s efforts in school over the past week. Therefore, whilst school is still closed, we have decided to start our very own ‘Star of the Week’. We will publish the names of our weekly superstars here on this blog, each Monday.
