You will find the learning for this week in the links below. All of the activities can be completed in your exercise book and do not need to be printed. This week is also NATIONAL SPORTS WEEK. Go to the PE section of this week’s blog and follow the powerpoint for more information.
We will running ‘Teams’ through the week and a teacher will be on-line every day between 10:00 and 12:00 to help you with your learning.

Please click on the links in the powerpoint to take you to YouTube videos that will help explain the learning. There are then links to documents for your learning underneath the powerpoint. You don’t need to print anything but please record your learning in your book. If you have any questions you can ask on ‘Teams’ which will be open between 10-12 every weekday or email your teacher.

CREATIVE CURRICULUM: Over the last couple of weeks you have learnt about the Anglo Saxon religion (Paganism) and the Anglo Saxon Gods. This week your challenge is to present your understanding about how the Anglo Saxons converted to Christianity. Use the powerpoint and pdf below to help you in this work.

PSHE: Mindfulness activities. As part of National Sports Week, we have been keeping our bodies really healthy this week. However, it is important that we keep our mind healthy too. This lovely set of mindfulness cards can be used to develop mindfulness practice using your senses.

Dear Year 6, we hope that you have had a good week and an even better weekend. Myself and Mrs A-B have been really impressed to hear the positive feedback from the adults working in Year 6 about how you have settled back into school life. We are so proud of you but also miss not seeing you all. Why not send us an email to let us know how you are doing and how you felt the first week went. Remember to listen carefully to the adults and to keep yourself safe. Obviously for those still at home, we would love to see you on Teams between 10am to 12pm (Monday to Friday). If you have any questions or concerns, please remember to email. Also, we would like to see some of your POWer projects based on 1066 or anything exciting that you have been doing at home. In English last week, the focus was on identifying the feature and then writing an information leaflet. The focus of this week will be to look more closely at how to write a character description, using evidence from the text. Lessons will be taken from the Oaks National Academy website.

Reading

Spellings

For spellings this week, read through each sentence and identify the word which has been spelt incorrectly and then correct it.
