Homework 6th November 2020

Homework | The Forest High School

Please find below this weeks homework due in Wednesday 11th November. Please try to read each day and at least three times a week. In addition, remember to go on Times Tables Rockstars as often as possible.

Week Beginning 2nd November 2020

In phonics this week we will be recapping all of the phonemes previously learned – s,a,t,p,i,n,m,d,g,o,c,k. We will be learning to blend to read simple CVC words and learning the digraph ( two letters that make one sound) ck. We are focussing on reading and writing words using these phonemes.

In Maths this week we are learning about comparing numbers looking at greater, fewer, more and less. Are you able to play games where you see who has more? Throw 3 items into a target how many do you get? How many does a family member get? Who got more?

In the wider curriculum we will be looking at Bonfire night. We will be reading stories, making lots of crafts, doing firework dances and talking about bonfire safety. Can you tell a grown up how to stay safe on bonfire night?

Remember to keep reading and going through the letter sounds that were sent home for half term.

Stay safe over bonfire night
