Please find below the powerpoint you will need for Maths this week. This week continues our work on converting units. Please click on the links in the powerpoint to take you to ‘live’ lessons by ‘The National Academy’. These lessons contain a initial quiz, video explaining the learning, activity and end of lesson quiz. If you do have any issues with opening any of these links please contact your class teacher. You don’t need to print anything but please record your learning in your book. If you have any questions please you can ask on ‘Teams’ which will be open between 10-12 every weekday or email your teacher.

SCIENCE: We have explored plant reproduction. This week starts to focus on animal reproduction. Follow the powerpoint for the activities.
PARENTAL NOTE: There is an activity to research whether some animals fertilise inside or outside and how many offspring are produced at a time. Please consider Internet safety at this time. You may wish to support your child during this part.
CREATIVE CURRICULUM: This weeks activity is to create a 3d Anglo Saxon House. Use the powerpoint to create this. We would love to see your final houses – please email pictures to your class teacher.
ICT: Year 5 Digital Images Competition. Use the two documents below to find information about the competition. Email photos to your teacher throughout the week. The winners will have their photos published on the blog…good luck

Half Term Holidays
We hope that you have a good half term holiday. (We hope the weather stays as beautiful as it has been). Next week, there will be no English, Maths, Science or Topic work. From 5RB is Izaaq: For creating his own balanced argument about schools reopening. An excellent balanced argument which discussed a current issue, it was well written and included a variety of relevant features! Very impressive.
From 5JT is Layla: For her consistent motivation and approach to her home learning. Layla shares her work – which is of a high level and it is fantastic to see her learning each week.
From 5AS is Jacob M: For his amazing English work. A whole pack of on-line work relating to debates and balanced arguments culminating in a brilliant letter to Mrs Ellis.

CSW Virtual School Games
CSW Virtual School Games

The CSW Virtual School Games is an opportunity for pupils to engage in competition at home whilst still feeling part of their school team. All Competitions are open to pupils from KS1-KS4. Competitions will launch each Monday at 9:45am on Twitter (Danny Kingham @CGOCoventryWest) with entries closing at 1pm on Friday of the same week. You will have a week to practice and complete the challenges and enter the competitions through a Survey Monkey link. Results will be announced each Friday via the @ThinkActiveCSW Twitter page at 5pm. This week’s challenge is Cricket (see below)

Further information can be obtained from the Thinkactive website and results are recorded through Survey Monkey link (see below). Have a go at the Cricket challenge and remember to email some photographs of you taking part. Also remember to record and send your results by Friday 22nd May at 1pm by the latest.

Real P.E.
Real PE at home includes an online programme which supports families to be active, play and learn together. It includes a programme specifically for children in Early Years and Key Stage 1 with 12 themes, 6 areas, over 250 activities and challenges and 1000s of hours of fun and activity. This programme is great for family play and fun.
For children in Key Stage 2, there are carefully selected personal best challenges, skills and games designed for the home and garden.
Daily and weekly guidance is provided for both programmes in addition to an option to choose your own themes and activities.

our emotional and mental health, especially in such testing times for all of
