We are so happy you’re still engaging in your science lessons and are conducting experiments. Here are some fantastic results from Archie and Summer demonstrating the effects liquid can have on our tooth enamel using eggs. Great work, your results were amazing!
While planning and organising lessons for this week we (the teachers) have got a bit carried away and planned five days worth of lessons – we forgot that on Friday it is a bank holiday to celebrate VE Day. Therefore we are advising that you do not have to complete the work set on Friday but may wish to mark VE Day in a different way. We would love to see photos from your day and how you marked this occasion. The attached documents may give you some ideas and there are further ideas at the end of the previous blog.

A huge congratulations to the boys who won the Year 4 battle against the girls. A special mention to these children who were all contributors to the final score; Riley, Malachy, Adam, JT, Morgan, Sarah, Tayla R, Rachel, Ava and Meera.
A new battle has been set up from today (1/5/20) until next Friday (8/5/20). So log onto TTRockstars, play any game and contribute to the final score. Come on girl’s, you can beat the boys this time!
We have had some wonderful work, emails and photos sent in to us. Here are a few examples;
Daisy wrote a wonderful acrostic poem about Coundon Primary;
JT has created a fantastic Roman Aqueduct and a lion mascot from recycled materials.
The following children have also sent in some super stuff. Watch this space for more examples of your wonderful work and activities…
Riley has learnt how to ride his bike and has been making chocolate cake.
Chloe has been practising her gymnastics, including her round off and doing lots of research about Roman aqueducts. Larna has set up her ‘eggperiment‘ with different drinks, so we will look forward to seeing the results of that.
The National Literacy Trust, alongside Bloomsbury have created The Book of Hopes. An extraordinary collection of short stories, poems, essays and pictures from more than 110 children’s writers and illustrators, including Lauren Child, Anthony Horowitz, Greg James and Chris Smith, Michael Morpurgo, Liz Pichon, Axel Scheffler, Francesca Simon and Jacqueline Wilson.
