Maths Photo Competition

During this week, your child has participated in maths activities related to Coventry, including its history.

As part of this, we are running a maths photo competition ‘Looking at Coventry Through Maths Eyes’. The aim of this is to help everyone realise that maths is all around us and our local environment is mathematically rich. Using the things around us is a superb way to engage your child in talking about maths.

Over half term, we would like you and your child to take a photo/snapshot of familiar things that capture some aspect of real-life mathematics in and around Coventry.  We would like you to send your photo into us with a mathematical question (see examples below).  There are prizes up for grabs!

Please send your ‘Looking at Coventry Through Maths Eyes’ photos/questions to Mrs Walton by Wednesday 1st March to [email protected]    Please state clearly your child’s name and class.

Head Teacher’s Award

Congratulations to Hugo in 3HG for his award this week. He is such a smiley, friendly hard-working child, who could get the award each and every week. This week he has really impressed us with his athletics skills and how he supports others to achieve. Well done Hugo!

Well done to Harriet L in 3DW for her head teacher’s award this week! She has been working so hard with her learning, working enthusiastically at all times!

Well done Asmaria in 3HG for her head teacher’s award this week. She has settled into our class excellently and is working hard every day 🙂

Well done to Harvey, Lewis W and Riley for their achievement of head teacher’s award this week!

Congrats Riley! He has shown great resilience and has made great improvements in his handwriting!

Head Teacher’s Award

Well done to Sara and Gene who both received Head Teacher award this week!

Sara has been working so hard on her phonics, improving her reading and spelling. We are very proud of how she has settled into life at Coundon Primary!

Gene has been working so hard in all lessons! He has a very cheery attitude, making staff members smile each day! Well done.
