Art Gallery Video

A huge thank you to everyone for supporting the Art Gallery.

We were blown away by the quality of work and it was lovely to see and hear children’s pride in their art work. The gallery looked professional and really gave status to the children’s work and skills.

Road Safety

This morning, officers Glenn Hartwell and Katie Darby spoke to the children in whole school assembly about road safety. They discussed safety around the school and dangers of speed. They also introduced a competition – look out for more information in the Friday Focus….

Maths Week England

This week we have loved engaging in the Maths Week England activities. We have played TT Rockstars and have taken part in the country-wide competition.

We have been investigating the theme of 3 by tessellating triangles and building tetrahedranes with a Christmas twist.

Warwickshire Wildlife Trust

This morning, Sara from the Warwickshire Wildlife Trust visited school. She ran a whole school assembly about the Sherbourne River and the role of Warwickshire Wildlife Trust. She also talked to the children about how we can make our world better for the animals around us. She then ran workshops with Y5 to look at rivers in more detail.

Healthy Me

Year 2 have been looking at how to stay healthy. Last week, we made fruit kebabs and then ate them! They were very tasty! We then discussed our favourite bit and why we chose fruit as a snack, rather than something like chocolate! Here are some pictures of us with our fruit kebabs:

Cadbury World Trip

Year 2 had an amazing day at Cadbury’s World where we learnt about how chocolate was made . We then had a very exciting tour of the exhibition. Our favourite activities included writing with chocolate, tempering chocolate and eating chocolate! The Cadbury’s bean car ride was also super exciting and the 4D cinema made us think we were on a roller coaster! Thank you to all of Year 2 for displaying brilliant behaviour – we are so proud of you all!
