Sorry for any confusion with the English Home Leaning Power point. You will find the Adjectives and Adverbs Power point and the Seaside Senses poem on separate tabs below. The writing task that children need to complete for this week is their own Seaside Senses Poem, following the structure of the poem given. The task on the final slide just asks the children to think if they can generate more interesting sentences about the seaside by including effective adjectives and adverbs. Hope this helps!

Our online Spelling Resource ‘Read, Write, Inc. Spelling’ has created some extra practice revision activities for children to access during school closures. If your child, is in Mrs Sweet, Mrs Dalton or MIss Mower’s spelling groups; then please have a go at working through the Year 2 activities with your child at home. Roald Dahl is a well loved children’s author. Year 2 started off their Author Study by discussing which of Roald Dahl’s books they had already read or heard of. We were very excited to read Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. We enjoyed some wonderful experiences and produced some lovely work linked to the stories of Roald Dahl.
