Year 6 took part in the most amazing experience – combining Augmented Reality and history. The children were extremely lucky to be able to explore the wonders of Ancient Greece in our school using a 360 degree game called Puzzle Locker. Working in groups, the children took on different roles to solve puzzles, collect objects and artefacts, as well as find clue words and answer bonus questions. Using an IPAD and a mat , the children literally stepped back in time to navigate ancient Greek temples and to learn about who the Greeks were, who Alexander the Great was and the lasting impact of the Ancient Greeks on the world today. The children were beyond excited and the added bonus of earning points, encouraged them even more. The gasps of wonder, the looks on their faces and their overall delight made it an experience they won’t ever forget.
