A massive well done to the following children for completing some learning tasks at home.

-Tommy- For making his very own shop at home and using maths to work out his costs and change!

Fiction Express: New Chapters

New chapters have been released today!
Chapter 2 for ‘The Pampered Prince’, ‘The Last Guardian’ and ‘Cosmo Mars and the Vanishing Woman’ are available now. Log on to read, answer the quiz and vote for the next chapter.

Well done those of you who have completed the first week’s official Blog Work! We hope it was easy to follow. A special well done to Penny who was the first pupil to contact us by email and she even sent us a photo!

Looks like she was working really hard on her Guided Reading task. Thanks for contacting us Penny and Mum!

We have also had some lovely non-chronological reports sent in by Ayla, Florence, Gene, Penny, Layla and Jacob!

A couple of awesome invertebrate homes, which I bet the bugs are loving!

And some gorgeous Paul Klee inspired art work by Maddie and Zaidan. Well done!

THE BOOK OF HOPES

The National Literacy Trust have put together a free online book called ‘The Book of Hopes.’  It is a compilation of short stories, pictures and poems from a range of famous authors.  The book is dedicated to all NHS and staff working in hospitals. Click on the link below to read the book.

We have had some wonderful work, emails and photos sent in to us. Here are a few examples;

Daisy wrote a wonderful acrostic poem about Coundon Primary;

JT has created a fantastic Roman Aqueduct and a lion mascot from recycled materials.

Chloe has been practising her gymnastics, including her round off and doing lots of research about Roman aqueducts. Larna has set up her ‘eggperiment‘ with different drinks, so we will look forward to seeing the results of that.

PYJAMARAMA

On Friday 1st May it will be Pyjamarama Day. The Book Trust would like you to celebrate the day with your family to read, carry out some fun reading activities and to stay in your pyjamas ALL DAY! Visit the Book Trust website below and have a go at the range of reading ideas and activities on offer. Science Home Learning

Over the Easter holidays, Charlie, his mum and his sister, Rachel carried out a fun science experiment- experimenting whether small objects in plastic Easter eggs will sink or float in water. They all had lots of fun making predictions and recording their results ?

Hello Year 3! We have set up a battle on Times Tables Rockstars between boys and girls! It would be great to see as many of you as possible get involved.
