Stars of the Week

There has been some amazing work shared this week through emails and Teams. The teachers have picked some children who they believe need a special mention. Our Stars of the week are…

From 5RB is Ana: For a lovely sketch of an Anglo Saxon house and for all her reading on Fiction Express.
From 5JT is Daniel: For his picture of a butterfly in his garden and for his 3d Anglo Saxon house.
From 5AS is Abbie Gower: For her hard work across all aspects of the curriculum. Mr Scott always enjoys receiving emails to show her learning – her mobile phone debate, a beautiful photo of rose in her garden and work showing a butterfly life cycle (with pictures of her own butterflies).

Science

Just a spoonful of sugar! ?

George and William completed the science lesson this week.

They enjoyed seeing the brown sugar dissolve in the hot water.

Well done boys!

Eggcellent Work!

Well done to Erin for creating a parachute in the D&T work this week.

She threw it out of an upstairs window and the egg survived!

We hope you have all had a great half term! Over the past few weeks, we have received some lovely emails from you all! We thought we would share some of the excellent work we have received with everyone again. I am sure you will all be as impressed with this work as we have been! As always, our Year 2 children continue to work hard during these difficult times. Take a look below at what Stefan and Sofia (2AS) have been doing at home…

WELL DONE MAYA

We would like to say a big ‘Well Done’ to Maya. She has been raising money to support the NHS. She spent her pocket money on making sweet bags and dog goodie bags. She then set up a stall in her front garden over the weekend. Her target was to raise £100 – she managed to raise a whopping £269 which has been donated to the NHS. Well Done Maya!
