Izaaq G

Well done to Izaaq (pictured with his trophy), after scoring a hat-trick on Sunday’s match for Christ the King. Their team won 5-1.

It’s Autumn

Our theme for the next few weeks in Nursery will be Autumn. We are looking at the changes in the environment and talking about what we see. We are reading the story Leaf Man and talking about all the different coloured leaves we see during Autumn time. We will be doing different Autumn crafts using leaves and going on an Autumn walk to our Forest School area looking for signs of Autumn.

If you are out on walks over the next few weeks please feel free to collect any Autumn objects you may find and bring them in to Nursery to share with the other children.

Week Beginning 12th October 2020

This week we will be recapping the previous phonemes learnt – s,a,t,p,i,n,m and d. We will start to learn how to blend these letters to make simple words. We will also be learning the phoneme ‘o’ and ‘g’. Can you write all of the letters you have learned so far?

In Maths we will be focussing on recognising and recreating patterns. We will use a variety of materials such as natural objects such as leaves and acorns as well as painting paterns and drawing our own patterns. Can you make patterns with items you find around the house?

In our curriculum work we will be focussing on the story ‘The Little Red Hen’ and will be linking it to Harvest time and the Autumn.

Don’t forget to try and read every night. Talk about the book and try to tell the story using the pictures. Can you answer questions about the story? We also need to keep practising our name writing, remember you can write on lots of different things it doesn’t just need to be on paper.

But Jane gets caught up in a theft at the Natural History Museum in London that leads her into a complicated web of counter-espionage.
